I read your linked post and laughed because I am very sentimental about my mugs and teapots. I still have the Brown Betty teapot I used in university...so comforting it was! If I break a favourite teapot or mug I try to repair it and use it as a planter or something.
I'd be very upset if I broke the coffee cup I bought on my honeymoon almost 20 years ago. Then there's my handmade pottery dragonfly mug. And the coffee cup from Monroe Pottery my oldest daughter gave me. Yup, I get it.

I'm glad you understand. Sometimes I think I am too sentimental. I can't even erase a voicemail message if it's from my kids or my husband.
