Working on a Snowy Sunday

My primary bird feeding station is just outside of my office window. I was feeling a little sorry for myself having to work all weekend after finishing a long trial week but the Blue Jays came out in the snowstorm to keep me company.

What a long week it was, this first week of January, and did I make my goal to snow shoe or ski at least twice this week? Sadly, no, but hopes and resolutions spring eternal--perhaps next week.

I am right there with you with an awful work week. Luckily I didn't have to do it this weekend unlike yourself.

Believe me, you will have plenty of time to snow shoe with the New England winter we have been having. ;o)

Love the blue jay photo.

Blue jays are such pretty birds--and so nasty.
Huh--you have a jay at your wreath. We get squirrels. They love to grab the peanuts out and run off.

Sorry you had to work this weekend, but you might have missed your visitors if you hadn't been at your desk. Hope you get to do some snow shoeing soon-you can do my share. :}

kallen, you are right--I'll probably be snowshoeing at easter the way we are going!

KGMom, they are pretty against the snow and they chased the starlings away from the suet which was nice, but ever since reading Nina's account of her baby hummingbirds, I haven't exactly been thrilled to see bluejays.

beckie, thanks for the sympathy and once I get past today, work shouldn't be quite so busy and I'll do enough snowshoeing for both of us!

Beth, sounds like you have been working very hard. I know its been very cold up there. I hope the birds bring a smile to your face in spite of the cold and the trials.
