More games for a rainy day

Amity tagged me to play a game of telling seven things people do not know about me. It seems that I just played a game of telling my life story in six words and now I am to divulge my most closely-held secrets.

Well, let's see.
  1. Amity is actually the one who got me blogging. I had never even heard of a blog until we invited Amity over for dinner one night last December and learned about her three years of blogging.
  2. Since Molly went to college, I actually miss watching America's Next Top Model, The Gilmore Girls and DeGrassi.
  3. When I was 18, I worked as a maid at the Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone National Park
  4. When I am sad or need a distraction, I read The #1 Ladies Detective Agency books. I secretly wish that I could be Precious Ramotswe.
  5. When no one else is home, I like to eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for supper.
  6. When I was 12, I made my first pair of cross country skis by planing a pair of wooden downhill skis and changing the bindings. I fell for the sport the minute my skis hit the trail.
  7. I was in a bluegrass band in the late 1970's.
Whew, that was hard. I feel bad tagging anyone, since I just handed out assignments a few days ago, but consider yourself tagged if you want to take a shot at it.

Thanks, Amity, it was fun--hard rooting around in the memory attic--but fun!

Beth,

It's good to get to know you better :o) When my daughter was in college, she would call me to see if I was watching American Idol or the latest episode of "Friends", and a few other shows we watched together. I can't believe she got me hooked on the Osbornes :o/ Sure, I watched those good old shows, but it wasn't the same without her.

The Ladies' Detective Agency series are great books. I've fallen behind in the most recent ones, I really need to make an effort to get to the library (not in my regular errand circle, unfortunately) to get the rest to catch up.

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one who can enjoy an evening of America's Next Top Model. Thanks for the book tip, they have been on my "to read" list for awhile.

Some of us have snowy days! But thanks for sharing this with us!

Mary, I have too much ADHD to watch TV shows without the lure of spending the time with my daughter--that always seemed worth sitting still for so I am totally unaware of what is going on with "our" shows but I miss them and her.
Seabrooke and Sarah--yes, the #1 Ladies Detective Agency books are wonderful. Nothing bad happens, everyone is kind and smart and does the right thing. I think Botswana must be a very nice country.
Monarch--I'm sorry about all the snow--for some reason the storm just gave us rain, but at least it's March and the snow won't be lasting for you.

Beth, I also love the #1 Ladies Detective Agency books. And I love Yellowstone. How wonderful you got to work there! Wish I could have heard you in the bluegrass band! (Do you have a hidden video hanging around the house?) Thanks for opening up your soul to us!

I find the Bluegrass band one most interesting.-I just got through listening to a bluegrass program on Saturday.-You call the peanut Butter and Jelly one a divulged secret-ha-that's kind of funny.-I like a PB and J myself.-except I prefer jam or preserves over jelly-but don't tell anyone.
