Spring is down there somewhere

Under the seven foot snow pile on which C is standing, there is a beautiful flower bed full of spring flowers--there are crocuses and daffodils and snowdrops and tulips.

looks familiar...our snow piles are still higher than my husband's pick up truck. It will be a while til the spring bulbs have a chance to grow.

Are you sure there is not another sports car hidding there? We skipped Spring and went directly to Summer. It was 100 here yesterday. It has cooled down to about ninety three with a stiff southerly breeze today. Some of our winter visitors have started their treks homeward today.

Ruth, I'm glad to know it's not just me. It's hard seeing all the spring pictures people are posting on line and thinking that it is months away for us
Dennis--100 degrees already--what does that mean for your summer? You are welcome up here in July and August to watch the crocus bloom and to ski in Tuckerman's Ravine.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Come back any time. I love your part of Maine. My family has been going there too Mooselook for over 26 years. We have a cabin there that holds many dear memories...it has some of the best sunsets I've ever seen, too...We also spend time at the Camp near Tumbledown...

Oh dear. I'm jealous of your snow, but that is just too much!

Beth,
Please accept my sincerest condolences!
Mother Nature better check her calendar again--looks like she forgot to turn the page to March!

Of course there are blooms waiting! I'm in awe. March 17 and you're still sitting on mountains of snow.

And the Texican has 100 degrees?

Incredible.
